Pala Interactive Rolls Out MyPalaCasino.com Along With Facebook App - Android and iOS Apps to Follow

Big News for Pala Interactive

gamingintelligence.com - Pala Interactive rolls out first free-to-play virtuals titles from Leap Gaming

Pala Interactive, the iGaming subsidiary of the Pala Band of Mission Indians, has launched five new virtual sports titles on its social casino site MyPalaCasino.

The launch follows a deal with virtual sports specialist Leap Gaming to add its portfolio of virtual games to the free-to-play site, with horse and dog racing, trotting, velodrome and speedway titles now live.

The games are currently available via the MyPalaCasino.com site and Facebook app, and will soon to be added to its iOS and Android apps.

The games allow players able to pick their favourite horse, dog or athlete and place a range of bets based on current odds and the competitor's performance history.

Launched in November 2016 to promote the tribe's California-based Pala Casino Spa & Resort, MyPalaCasino offers a range of slots, table games and skill-based puzzles alongside the virtual sports products.

The social offering is integrated with the casino's Pala Privileges reward programme, allowing players to collect points to redeem for real-world prizes such as games, spa services, food and beverages or hotel stays.

The initial virtual sports roll-outs will be followed by the addition of tennis and soccer games in the near future.

Pala Ventures Into Online Gaming

Couple of Articles on Pala's online Poker Venture:

The Dirty Stack, Pala Interactive’s Hope, Regulation of Online Poker

Posted by Peter McCullough on July 10, 2013 in Gambler's Report, Online Gambling News, Online Poker News

Pala Interactive, LLC based in California is a relatively new online poker collaboration between former bwin.party CEO Jim Ryan and the Pala Band of Mission Indians. The Pala Indian tribe is behind San Diego’s premier casino, the Pala Casino Resort Spa.

As with any new venture, the start up needs a face to help promote the brand. That face belongs to none other than professional poker player, Phil Ivey. Ivey is not new to being the face behind a poker room startup, back in 2004, Ivey was one of the most popular players backing resurrected poker room Full Tilt Poker.

Article on Tribal Member Disenrollments

This is an aticile published on mondaq.com titled Tribal Membership Revocations: Dialing For Dollars? written by Dennis Whittlesey and Patrick Sullivan.

The Article mentions Pala:

Pala Band of Mission Indians

The Pala Indian Reservation is in Southern California, and it houses the Pala Casino which opened in 2001. The casino has been immensely successful, to the point that each tribal member currently receives about $150,000 in per capita payments annually from gaming revenues, as well as housing subsidies, health care, and educational benefits. When the casino's revenues dropped in 2012, the Tribe's per capita payments dropped by $500 per month, and the membership grew disenchanted with the decline in each member's income. The drop in revenue resulted in financial pressure on members who relied on the payments, with the result that a long-simmering membership dispute flared into open hostility and ultimately a massive disenrollment revoking the membership of one-sixth of the Tribe's population.

The Tribe's membership rules require at least 1/16 Pala ancestry. Such "blood quantum" membership rules necessarily lead to an evershrinking tribal membership as members frequently marry outside the tribe. The dispute centered on a single woman named Margarita Britten, who is an ancestor of all of the disenrolled members. The Pala Executive Committee determined on its own that Britten's father was white and not Pala, meaning that all members tracing their Pala ancestry solely to Britten as a great-great-grandparent went from 1/16 to 1/32 Pala blood and no longer qualified for membership. With that decision, more than 160 Pala members were disenrolled, an action that cut off per capita payments, as well as access to health care and all other tribal benefits. Tensions continue to run high on the reservation, with the disenrolled claiming the decision was made solely to prop up per capita payments, while members not affected respond that the disenrollment was an overdue resolution of a preexisting problem.

As for appeals, the Pala leadership took care of that by terminating what might have been a venue for the ousted members to seek judicial relief. In California, tribes may voluntarily settle disputes in the Intertribal Court of Southern California, a tribal "circuit court" providing a neutral forum for appeals of tribal decisions. The Pala Executive Committee voted to withdraw from that court before enacting the disenrollments, so the decision was never subject to review in that court.

The Pala enrollment case was closed before it even was ripe for hearing in that court.

Original Pechanga's Asks Gabriel Iglesias To Please Cancel His Performance At Pechanga

If you are a regular reader of Original Pechanga's Blog then you probably saw the story they posted of how Bill Cosby canceled his show to show support for the disenrolled Chukchansi People.

Original Pechanga's is now asking Gabriel Iglesias (Fluffy) to cancel his show at Pechanga Resort & Casino to show solidarity with the disenrolled Pechanga Members:

Request to Gabriel Iglesias: Please CANCEL your Performance At Pechanga

Mr. Gabriel Iglesias
Creative Artist Agency
2000 Avenue of the Stars
Los Angeles, CA 90067
tel: 424-288-2000
fax: 424-288-2900
Dear Mr. Iglesias,

We are writing this letter in the hope that you will cancel your show at the Pechanga Resort and Casino, scheduled for October 6.

I’d like to make you aware of the disgraceful actions that are happening on the Pechanga Reservation. The Pechanga Tribal Council, led by Mark Macarro, has stripped the citizenship 25% of Pechanga Tribal Members, including the descendents of the original chief of the Pechanga Tribe. They most recently disenrolled the Paulina Hunter descendants. Paulina Hunter was an original allotee of Pechanga and her family still resides on the reservation, where apartheid is still practiced, 18 years after it was abolished in South Africa.

I am sure that the decimation of culture, history and beliefs are not within your value system.

Stand with the disenrolled members of Pechanga. There may be a protest during your performance date and we are informing the entertainment press about the request for acts not to perform at Pechanga. We all enjoy your show and performances and would love to watch your show, elsewhere. Please do not do your show at Pechanga. Tell the PDC that you won’t play at a location that violates the civil and human rights of it own people Thank you for your support.

Bill Cosby REFUSED to perform at Chukchansi in Fresno because of that tribe’s disenrollment action.

I have included some information with this packette, but your team can check the website Original Pechanga’s Blog at http://originalpechanga.com

Respectfully,

Please help support  Original Pechanga's Blog in asking Fluffy to cancel his show.

I was looking at the Pala Casino Resort and Spa website to see what entertainment they have coming up.  It's mostly tribute bands and Dance Parties.  But they do have Brian Regan performing on August 25th and John Pinette performing on November 17th.

Compare that to the entertainment at Pechanga Resort & Casino which has Ringo Starr, Jay Leno, Smokey Robinson, Steve Martin, and the Gypsy Kings all performing in the next 30 days.

Perhaps it's worth contacting other entertainers as well to make them aware of all the injustices being inflicted on Tribal Members all across America.
