The history of the cupeno is so well documented, I don't see how the old EC could justify disenrolling you guys. Maybe this needs to be brought before the current EC? I have seen a lot of evidence that is just undeniable. The dissenrollments caused a lot of hurt to a lot of members. I could only see good things happening from re enrolling the 1/16 britians. I garantee you there would be less division on the Rez. And a lot happier community

Unreliable anthropological work, see if you can figure out why. Hint: If Cupeno is a patrilineal descent kinship group through exogomaus clans, how are people related and how to they belong to each other?

Anonymous said...

Unreliable? But the words of those who were living there?

Anonymous said...

Again, its unreliable to use an anthropological source because the anthropology is flawed, not the informants.

Anonymous said...

I wasn't just referring to this one source. I was referring to all the sources I have seen on here. There has been undeniable evidence. I think the current EC should re look into all the evidence.

Silly you guys. Only Robert Smith's evidence and final determination counts. All other sources and agency positions means nothing to him. After all he was there when everyone was conceived in the 1800's. That is true because he really is an old turd.

Sure sounds like someone is trying to call Salvadora Valenzeula and Rocinda Nolasquez liars even when it is in their own words. I do not know what you mean "Unreliable anthropological work"?

Direct Quotes are unreliable according to you? Why? Because it does not fit your narrative? Are you trying to shit on the book Mulu'Wetam? Go ahead, we are used to you types just towing the Robert Line no matter how much evidence there is that he and Theresa should actually be in jail right now.

For what it's worth these statements are corroborated in the 1928 CIJR applications, in W.D. Strong's book and in the Agua Caliente census records.

The current EC is the old EC.
It hasn't changed in many years because the current Chairman keeps changing the rules to suit his fancy.
And if he can't change the rules he fixes the Elections to keep himself in office.
He is nothing but an evil lying corrupt little non Cupa asshole.
Every time we see him we which that him Mother would have had a an abortion.
Whom by the way also was non Cupa and a thief.

One thing no one ever mentions about the 1928 Roles of the Brittens. Everyone is referred to and put under one umbrella as a Britten. This includes the Aguilars, the Welmas's, and the Freemans. All descendant of Margarita Britten. Except, on each of the 1928 applications no one lists Margarita Britten as their mother, grandmother etc. She is listed as Margarita Saubel. Why? Because her father was Peligrino Saubel (Ortega). So why didn't the Ortega's claim her in their probate hearings? Simple. Number one, they did not want the Brittens to share in their inheritance and number two, they were adopted by Peligrino and are not Saubels. The other thing to know about the 1928 Roles is that the BIA and the Courts will no longer allow them to be used as evidence. Yet Robert Smith based his whole decision on the 1928 Roles. This was done in violation of his own constitution that says only the 1895 and the 1913 Allotment Roles can be used to determine membership in Pala. That is why the Lugos are enrolled even though they are not Warner Ranch Evictees. It is why the Nolasquez/Lavatos are enrolled even thought they are Yaqui. That is why the Ravagos are enrolled even though they are Yuma. That is why the Smiths are enrolled even though they are descendents of citizen Indians and should have never been allotted at Pala. That is why Domingo Moro was not allotted at Pala. He was a citizen Indian. So to answer the question was Rocinda a liar. Yes she was. But we look at the evidence that says Silvario and Salvador were Yaqui and there is nothing to refute that except lies. Salvadora was not the liar but the generations that followed her are. Salvadora's name was forged on many of the 1928 Applications because it was legal to do so. This was done to expedite the Roles without any concern about what affect it would have on future generations.

"Interestingly, not every Indian at Pala who received an allotment was Luiseño or Cupeño. The residents at Cupa, and at the smaller surrounding villages of Wilakal and Puerta la Cruz who were also removed to Pala in 1903, included some people of Kumeyaay and Yaqui descent. When the time came for allotment, these individuals received parcels at Pala, and thus their descendants qualified for Pala membership."

Now this this is not quoting just any anthropologist, this is quoting Shasta Gaughn, Robert Smith's and Leroy Miranda's hired gun.

Well now that everyone is offended.

Why am I not surprised that the truth offends people of Pala. Well how about the truth that the Britten family has been damaged in the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. Do you feel offended? People of Pala lie and live by the lie. You were promised that your per capita would go up if the Brittens were disenrolled. Per capita has only gone down while per capita for other tribes continues to go up. Here is a truth that should mean something to each and everyone of you. Since the disenrollment, the death rate amongst non-Britten families has accelerated. Not good deaths either. Accidental deaths. Violent deaths. More truth. Robert and Leroy approached the people in Winter Garden/Yuma and paid them to witch the Britten family. Careful what you ask for. All that evil has been placed back on their families and none of you can deny that. So offended people of Pala just sit there and do nothing. Let the EC continue to steal your wealth right from under you. When things get tough for the EC what do you think their simplest solution will be? Of course they will find more people to disenroll. They are not business geniuses but the simple math says that if there are less mouths to feed the more money available to them to steal. Who will it be? Will it be the Yaquis? Will it be the Cahuillas? Will it be the San Felipe? Will it be the Old Pala? If you have ever been afraid of anything in Pala then you should fear the effects of disenrollment. Remember sovereignty rules in Pala except that you have forgotten that sovereignty is the right of the tribe not the EC. Turn your energy towards truth and real change can happen in Pala. Continue to cradle the lies and gossip that make pala what it is today then you must fear the future.

Question?
How does George Eagelton get to stay in the home after his wife passed away.
And why does the Tribal workers still do work at his house on the Tribes dime?
He is a white man from nowhere.
Does he still get a direct deposit per capita check every month also?

Anonymous said...

Probably does, isn't his daughter Theresa Nieto the Tribes Finance officer.

Well here it comes again. Cinco de yaqui days at pala. Sure it is easy for the San Felipe, Cahuilla, Luiseno and Yaqui to celebrate the removal of the Cupeno from Kupa. A statue of Our lady of Guadalupe Roscinda will be paraded through the village since she was the only one truly removed from Kupa. Her Kupanish language is preserved like a bad batch of fish for future generations not to learn the true values of the Cupangawhichum. Tiajuana is south of the border so I guess Palajuana is the only mexican town north of the border. So have a great time on Cinco de Yaqui Day while the rest of us mourn the day the people lost their homeland. Only Yaquis can see reason in celebrating that.

If you really want to make Cinco de Mayo a day of happiness, a day to remember, hang your chairman smith from the Mission Bell tower on
May 5,2018.

Yes and let King Freeman ring his balls, sorry I meant ring his bells.
However they are so tiny they would only go ding ding and not DONG DONG.

Anonymous said...

Sound like you have a serious intimacy with King's Balls. Apparently you have some deep personal issues with King. What's the matter, did he turn you down? Is this Leroy? Yes you and your gay self would have issues with King. King has openly apologized for refusing your advances when he realized that his rejection of you is what really led to the disenrollments.

Wasn't Mr. Lavato 1/2 Fillepno and 1/4 Yaqui?
How can they stretch the Cupa Blood line to include his Great Grandkids.

palamember said...

It is in the by laws of most of the tribes. He has proven himself to be an essential contributor for the benefit to the tribe and tribal members. His work with the church and congregation for 60+ years has earned him the right to remain in his home for the rest of his life.

palamember said...

Has nothing to do with it.

Anonymous said...

Ha, like Pala follows any by laws. Because then the Brittains would still be there, the only reason Mel is there is because he knows a lot and Robert wants him where he can see him, or he might have to off him and everyone would know that it was Robert who called the hit.

Reinstatement_Restitution said...

For many years we have heard that Roscinda Nolasquez told Mel Lovato that Margarita Britten was half blood. How long have the Lavatos known that Roslinda was half Yaqui?

Can anyone prove the Ortegas were adopted by peligrino saubel,I would like to see it.

Anonymous said...

There is proof that ortegas are not Pelegrinos kids. The person that has this proof put it out ,they hate, people from Cupa.
