Guilty

3rd former tribal leader pleads guilty in casino theft - Des Moines Register

OMAHA — A third former Winnebago Tribal Council member has pleaded guilty to his role in stealing from the tribe's casino in Iowa.
The Sioux City (Iowa) Journal reports that Charles Aldrich entered the plea Monday in U.S. District Court in Omaha.
Aldrich is one of nine former council members accused of a conspiracy to siphon more than $327,000 from the WinneVegas Casino in Sloan, Iowa. Lawrence Payer and Louis Houghton pleaded guilty last month to the same charge: theft from a gaming establishment on Indian lands. They await sentencing.

Excerpt:

The indictments came after an FBI investigation determined that while on the tribal council, the defendants had given themselves raises and bonuses totaling $327,500 directly from the tribe's WinnaVegas Casino Resort without approving them at council meetings. It showed that in 2013 and 2014, the nine were issued $87,000 in gift certificates by the casino and uploads to prepaid debit cards paid for by the casino totaling $240,500. These distributions were recorded on the casino's books as miscellaneous administrative expenses, according to the indictment.

This seems like penny's compared to the amount that Robert has been steeling

Taking down Robert will be more difficult. That's because he has the support of the Band. No matter how much people say otherwise, Pala members support him and have bailed him out many times.

He does not have the support of the band!!! He enrolls non Indians and tells them all they have to do is vote his way. The general council does not support his behavior. They feel helpless. Like there is nothing they can do. They also live in fear. If they speak up robert will take away there percap.

So they keep their mouths shut, or they support him, but they don't oppose him. Whatever. If they don't stand up and speak out then they are greedy because the money means more than doing what's right.

It's understandable. You get used to the money, and you don't know what you would do without it. Too bad for these poor fearful people. They have their per capita but they lost their souls.

Hang the FUCKER, that's the only way that is left to help Pala heal.
One can only imagine his cut for the addition that is going to take place at the Casino Hotel.
Why didn't this project go out for bids so we could see them and then
decide which was the best bid for the project?
I'll tell you why, it's because Robert doesn't care what the Members think or want.
He wants everything his way or no way.
WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE AND STOP HIM.

And these 10 minute Tribal Meetings show just how much he cares about the Pala People.
Looks like the meeting tonight was over after the opening prayer. It lasted about 10 maybe 15 minutes.
People were still signing in and the meeting was over.

Can you post a story or the history of Remijo Lugo on here? How he is cahuilla and a teamster and helped bring the Cupeno down to Pala and for an allotment illegally. How his descendants are not entitled to enrollment at Pala. I know there is documents and paperwork I have seen them that back up this story. If we had a fair EC and well if half of them were not Remijo Lugo descendants it would be case closed on presenting this to the Pala EC/enrollment committee/housing authority/Pala gaming authority/grievance committee/appeals committee and the Lugos would be out. The Lugos/eagletons/Maxcys know their family history now and that's why they must stay on the EC to protect their enrollment.

You can just search the blog and find it. There is a search bar in the right hand column, type in teamster

I wonder if Robert and Theresa will ever do the right thing. They know Margarita Brittain is fullblood. I wonder what they're so afraid of? If I ever see Theresa at church I'm gonna walk up and call her and evil b---- in front of everybody. I hate them both with a passion for knowing the truth and still doing this to everybody. If Margarita Brittain really was half native I would be upset but I wouldn't be so hateful to them for doing this to everybody and lowering our blood. I mean you can't hate on the truth but you can hate on people who do evil and go against the truth for their own personal reasons and I hope they pay for it. I will never forget even when they are both out of office and everyone is reinstated I will still never forget and if they're gone I will take it out on their families like they took it out on ours. The only way I could start to forgive is if they make this right and reinstate the disenrolled. They don't have to admit they disenrolled on purpose just that there was a mistake made and Margarita is fullblood and they are reinstating everyone. Until that day my hate for both of them grow stronger and stronger.
