In 1903 the Agua Caleinte Cupeno were removed from their ancestral tribal home, the Village of Kupa also known as Warner's Hot Springs. The Cupeno were forced onto the Pala Indian Reservation. This is known as the Cupeno Trail of Tears.
On June 1st, 2011 and February 1st, 2012 162 Warner Ranch Evictee Agua Caliente Cupeno were removed from the PBMI Association by the Pala Enrollment Committee. This is our Second Trail of Tears.

Amy should be investigated. Talk about a conflict of interest. Her daughter is being funneled information that is being used in a law suit? If true, Amy should be behind bars. Can the IRS please check her accounts.

Page 2 of your letter, paragraph 2 "Not coincidentally, this timing coincides with the tribe's determination that Margarita Brittain - the person through whom certain of your clients claimed membership in the Pala Band- had insufficient blood quantum to satisfy the Pala Band's membership criteria,". Hell, she was 4/4. I think that's plenty to qualify for membership. Sara don't you have a proofreader?

ON THE AGENDA 1-call to order @ 7PM 2- Invocation 3-Approval of agenda. 4-Amendments to ord. 14-Assignment of tribal lands key changes to ord. 14 5- Adjournment. Better be careful these are the types of meetings that the EC includes their sneaky approval of shit that they want done and no back lash from anyone. Just vote it down for now. these assignments are just fine the way they are. the EC must have a hidden agenda and needs to put in some kind or ordinance to make it effective. If you vote yes make sure that the final will be shown to the members before a final vote is cast. Don't vote yes on a draft like you did at the other meeting on the evictions.
According to Robert Smith Constitution, the General Council can only vote by two methods, Show of Hands or Secret Ballot. The use of the electronic voting devices is illegal according to that sacred piece of crap called a constitution. Stand up for your rights. Demand a secret ballot vote and vote against the EC and their taking of GC authority. Remember that the power of the GC is to manage all affairs related to tribal lands. Yes the constitution says that it authority can be delegated to the EC but any authority the EC exerts must not violate the constitution. Giving the exclusive authority to evict anyone from the rez to the EC violates the constitution and would require an amendment to the constitution and not just a change in the ordinance. Exercise your rights GC. No electronic voting. All electronic voting is and has been illegal so anything passed by the GC via the electronic voting device is invalid. Know your rights. I think that to nights meeting was the shortest meeting ever, at Pala. It was only long enough to make a motion and take a vote, and bam it was over. MR.CASTILLO should run against Slobber Smith this around. I truly believe that he could beat Robert if the election is run in a fair way, maybe by an outside firm or by the DOJ if need be. The reason that I stated that this is very interesting is because isn't Robert Smith the Chairman of the California Fee to Trust Consortium? So he himself knows what the Documents state. So he, himself is aware that there is no mention of a Constitution, that would lead me to think that the Pala Bands Governing Documents are in fact the articals of association, and not a Constitution as the EC is claiming.
