No Shortage of Funds

Union Tribune - Housing projects continue slow march forward

Excerpt:

Perhaps sooner to come before the county will be the Warner Ranch project, a 780-home development proposed for 513 acres just north of state Route 76 on private land less than a half mile west of the Pala Resort & Casino.

The neighboring Pala Band of Mission Indians, which has no shortage of funds, says it will oppose Warner Ranch for many reasons including water and traffic.

Alright putting in a thousand live in casino customers right down the street from the casino. Per-cap increase! Oh wait probably not if Roberts still in power he will keep the extra profits for himself. Awe man I got excited for a minute. Those houses won't be built anyway unless the building company gives into Roberts demands for kick backs. They didn't last time they tried to do something their a couple years ago and they wouldn't sell to Pala because of Robert unless he paid more than it was worth. Just like Warner springs. People's hatred for Robert gets in the way of Pala's progress because they don't want to do business with him. The only reason he sits on boards is because he gives contributions with our Pala's money to the groups where he sits on the board. It's not because they like and respect him hahaha ya right that's so laughable. I know other people on some of those boards and he only sits on the board because of the money he promises them for support. He spends our money like its his own and we allow it.

If Smith is so damn concerned about homes, traffic and hiding dead bodies, he should have built an apartment complex instead of a fucking campground RV park.
This would made a lot more science than a RV park.
A lot of employees at the casino would have jumped on renting an apartment even before they were finished being built.
And that alone would have been cheaper than the stupid RV park.
Even a small complex of say 25 apartments, with 1-2 or 3 bedrooms
would have shown a profit for the Tribe decades before the RV park will.
5.6 million dollars used to build a homeless campsite for druggies,
and tweekers and a graveyard for missing people is just plane stupidity.

I agree with 3:41 PM.
And how many people will want to camp in Pala knowing about the Mag Light killers.
Just think how nice things would be if we had an honest Chairman that would care about what the Tribal Members wanted, and took the time to bring projects to the Membership for a vote from the People, instead of lying about everything and using threats to get what he wants.
Think about this very hard.
And remember his term is up in November and so is Nieto's.
Start thinking and watching everything now and use it in November to get them out of power.

November doesn't matter Smith will never be voted out at one of his selections (elections) they are rigged. That's why he doesn't even campaign because he knows he's already in why waste the money.

Who do you think would be a good Chairman to run against Smith this election. If anyone.

If you are fishing for a name, good luck. We are not that stupid to reveal a name at this time. Just wait and see.

The Casino is losing all its regulars and is mostly bus people now. They systematically remove any machines that have frequent payouts and leaving the tighter paying machines. Every couple of weeks they shut down big areas and turn the machines off and move them either out or to a different spot. Since there is no one watching or regulating the machines ( besides people put in by Robert) computer chips are easy to replace.

Well how about all of Roberts Robots come in for a computer chip change.
Reprogram them to understand the true facts of what'.s happening in Pala.

Any word on who killed that Trujillo boy?

Anonymous said...

Yes, the accused are guilty and will soon be recharged.
This is per a reliable source.

What's with the barricaded roads across from the Casino? Already all full of graffiti. First the sign saying the road was private and now barricades....is he getting more and more paranoid?

True the BIA are just record keepers no real authority and totally corrupt and complicit to corrupt tribal leaders. They do not help the native people in any way shape or form. They only do whats easiest for them. They do not help the disenrollee's because they are supportive or bought off by the corrupt tribal leaders that disenroll or if they did step in and do something then that means they would have to step in for all tribes disenrolling to verify civil rights were followed and the disenrollment's were just and not to get rid of political opposition to stay in power, get rid of percap payments or shut out tribal members who ask too many questions the tribal leaders do not want to answer. That would be more work than the BIA would want to actual have to do. So my questions is how can people go about trying to shut down or get rid off an agency like the BIA? Start a petition with a certain amount of signatures? Is it even possible?

He is so paranoid that he can't even watch a football game on Tv
because every time they get in a huddle he thinks that they are talking about him.

Must not be anyone to evict this month.

His daughter and Nona's daughter go to court the 13th. Guess that's more important than tribal meeting. Also a Lugo of course.

Howard Maxcy, gave Bernie Duro(Trujillo,to move out of her home by the 25Th.What a punk, picking on old ladies, some one should go talk to his dad.

Turning on their own people, as disgusting as gangs who attack their own people. The EC has become a gang, a lowlife, money stealing, drug dealing, murderous landlord.

Anonymous said...

Is that why the meeting was cancelled two months in a row, so that they did not have to hear complaints about kicking out an ELDER? That is how they treat the Elders in Pala, no respect at all.

Reinstatement_Restitution said...

So you have an eviction of an elder without a hearing for harboring a fugitive, the Chairman's daughter and two other tribal members arrested for possession of an assault weapon and methamphetamine, and the murder of a former tribal member.

Then there's the opening of the RV Resort that was built without presenting the plan to the General Council, the reports of increased revenue for Pala Interactive, the announced intent of Borgata to switch to Pala Interactive as their online poker provider, and the announcement that Pala Interactive CEO Jim Ryan has been appointed an independent Director at Intertain.

If there was a meeting people might actually bring these subjects up. The Pala EC doesn't want to own up to the problems on the rez, or discuss anything that has to do with Pala Interactive. After all, the internet gaming venture is the Pala EC's golden egg. They get cushy Board of Director positions, phantom stock, and the Pala Casino finances the operation. It is all a big bonanza while Pala members get nothing; they don't even get paid for the use of the Pala Brand.

Pretty good deal for the EC. However the Band's legal costs are skyrocketing. They have to pay for the Chairman's daughter's defense, and probably her friends too. Then they have to cover up any involvement in the murder of Bradley Trujillo. Then they are trying to push through legislature to change the authority for federal recognition away from the BIA and over to Congress. They are also fighting the proposed amendments to the Federal Wire Act They are still promoting legislature in California for online gaming. There there are the bribes to the BIA for information about the Agua Caliente Tribe, and for a name change of the PBLMI to the PBMI. And maybe they are dangling money to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in the Aguayo v. Jewell case to get a decision that upholds the lower court dismissal.

There is no doubt that the Chairman is spreading the money around these days. To everyone but the tribal members...
