In 1903 the Agua Caleinte Cupeno were removed from their ancestral tribal home, the Village of Kupa also known as Warner's Hot Springs. The Cupeno were forced onto the Pala Indian Reservation. This is known as the Cupeno Trail of Tears. On June 1st, 2011 and February 1st, 2012 162 Warner Ranch Evictee Agua Caliente Cupeno were removed from the PBMI Association by the Pala Enrollment Committee. This is our Second Trail of Tears.

The Marruffo Family Continues Its Fight For Rightful Access to Their Own Land
Pala's Executive Committee continues to harass and trample on the rights of the Marruffo Family. The Marruffo Family have allotted land at Pala and have a right to access their property. Pala's Executive Committee has abused their land without their permission and continues to trample on the rights of the Marruffo Family.

ReplyDeleteLegally this man has a right to protect his property by any means possible.
And who do this over weight security officers think they are going to stop from entering their own land.
They should be focusing on the people that are committing the Murders
and abusing the Members of the Tribe and the safety of the Residents
on the Reservation.
The Pala Leaders even put a sewer station on this property without the consent of the land owners.
The tribe better hope that this issue does not get into the Court system because the Tribe will loose for sure.
Also for a fact, there are many Tribal Members that "WILL" back this Family in any Court of Law.
The Pala Court system is probably run by Ex-Felons needing some extra cash and is overseen by the dictakership of the EC.
Meaning run by Robert Smith.

Maybe this family should file suit on the company that installed the sewer pump on their property.
ReplyDeleteThey should have gotten permits from the County to do the work and have some kind of permission from the owners to do the work.
I am sure you just can't do this kind of work on property just because someone says, just put it right here that's ok.
The site needs approval from someone.
Go after the Company and let them fight Robert Smith and the EC.
Look at how many people have died in Pala this past year alone.

The "luxurious" clubhouse looks just like the gas station store. What an ideal location!!...HAHAHAHAHA...wonder where all that sewage is going? You know they probably took short cuts in the building of it....any county permits pulled on that project?

John Ayala was a good man in so many ways.

The EC was way out of line doing and saying the things that did about John and his Family especially Smith and Nieto.
They treated him with no respect at all at the Tribal Meetings because
they were afraid that people were listening to what John had to say.
His fight with the EC will not be forgotten.
If only others would stand up to the EC like John did Pala would be a better Reservation. REST IN PEACE JOHN AYALA,YOUR FIGHT WILL CONTINUE

Look what they did to Willy pink and King Freeman and then they wanted more, so they took Willy Pinks per capita away from him and didn't pay him the last Christmas bonus.

ReplyDeleteWhy are we not hearing more about the murders that recently took place in Pala, aren't the people of Pala worried about murderers roaming their rez or do they know who is behind them and they don't want to ruffle their feathers? If it was my brother, father, son, or uncle, I would be demanding justice and helping in any way I could. Not to mention that if the immediate family turns a blind eye to the murder of their own, they will be held accountable one day. It seems like the members do know who killed Bradly and who killed Bruce, sad that the members feel their lives were not worth fighting for. I know Bradly's family is more upset, but Bruce's family is showing to be less empathetic,and their Karma is already showing, all because of Dion. Bruce was his half brother, but there are other family members beginning to show suffering. Robert does not seem to be bothered by the murders either, and this is Pala's leader, he lets murder happen to his people and yet says and does nothing about it. You can all still make amends, and save your family's future by standing up against the tyranny on the rez, but it looks like your monthly checks and bonuses outweigh any family love and even life itself. You can't take it with you, so it will do you no good to love the money over family.

Mary Louise Chutnicut passed away a couple of days ago.
She lived here most of her life. She was the Mother of Sharon Chutnicut Boles and Paulette Chutnicut Gonzales of Pala.
Is that Tony Ravago, Tims brother sitting there in the chair with sun glasses on?

ReplyDeleteI went over and looked at this property and from what I can see, it seems that a way to solve this right to enter your property is to build a drive way off of highway 76 to access you property.
ReplyDeleteI do not believe that the Tribe can block this because of the County having a easement for the state highway 76.
Its worth a shot to see what the County of San Diego says.
I believe that the footage for the easement butts up to your property line.
This would be good for you and a way to screw with the Pala EC.
